New Music Monday: the rise, the fall, & the comeback of the “dad” music

Okay so I know what you’re thinking. “Dad” music (???) What has this girl come to (???)

But yes seriously, Dad music. It’s awesome. We all have memories of those long summer family road trips which were filled with several fights with your siblings and “are we there yet?” being asked a million times over. But the detail that is always overlooked is the music, those soft friendly tunes that would take you back to basically every summer holiday you ever had as a kid.

So let’s reminisce. I hereby present you with my playlist which is literally labelled, “dad”, (really weird I know) and it might surprise you, because my Dad actually has wicked music taste. Give these tunes a chance, they will either relax you, revive your memories or maybe even repulse you, but, it’s worth a shot.
