Getting my younger sister to exercise is always an achievement, so our stair rep session together was a rare spectacle.

If you’re feeling in the mood for

  • a fat burning cardio session 
  • a workout where intensity and duration is adjustable
  • exercising without equipment or a gym

Then this stair session is for you!

We used approximately 25 stairs (note: sets can be repeated if your nearest set of stairs is not big enough)

WARM UP: 2 sets jogging – raising the heart rate to ~140/150bpm

Exercise #1: 1 set UP, UP – DOWN, DOWN – alternate starting foot [see video for demonstration]

Exercise #2: 1 set FROG JUMPSwe did one per step but this is adjustable depending on step width, squat low and push from heels

Exercise #3: 1 set LUNGE – SQUAT – STEPagain the lunge is dependent on stair width, always initiate lunge with outer leg

Finisher: 1 set sprint

Repeat all of the above for a longer workout. Enjoy & get sweaty Xx
